Mr. Zartler is the Founder and Chairman of Solaris. He brings 27 years of experience to Solaris, with an extensive background in both energy industry investing and managing growth businesses. Prior to founding Solaris, Mr. Zartler was a Founder and Managing Partner of Denham Capital Management, a $7 billion global energy and commodities private equity firm. He led Denham’s global investing activity in the midstream and oilfield services sectors and served on the Investment and Executive Committees. While at Denham, Mr. Zartler served on the boards of numerous portfolio companies, including NGL Energy Partners (NYSE:NGL), Gulf Atlantic Operations, Kitimat LNG, Freebird Gas Storage, Cadre Proppants, MS Energy Services and Greene’s Energy Group. Previously, Mr. Zartler held the role of Senior Vice President and General Manager at Dynegy Inc., building and managing the Natural Gas Liquids business. Prior to that he held the roles of Feedstock Trading Manager and Business Analyst at Dow Hydrocarbons and Resources. He received a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin and a Master of Business Administration from Texas A&M University. He completed the Stanford Business School Executive Program and serves on the Advisory board of the Cockrell School of Engineering at The University of Texas at Austin.
Mr. Keenan has over 30 years of experience in the financial and energy businesses. Since 1997, he has been a Member of Yorktown Partners LLC, a private investment manager focused on the energy industry. Mr. Keenan currently serves on the Board of Directors of Antero Resources, Concho Resources Inc. and GeoMet, Inc. From 1975 to 1997, he was in the Corporate Finance Department of Dillon, Read & Co. Inc. and active in the private equity and energy areas, including the founding of the first Yorktown Partners fund in 1991. He is serving or has served as a director of multiple Yorktown Partners portfolio companies. Mr. Keenan holds a Bachelor of Arts degree cum laude from Harvard College and an Master of Business Administration from Harvard University.
Mr. Lawrence is a founder and senior manager of Yorktown Partners LLC, the manager of the Yorktown group of investment partnerships, which make investments in companies engaged in the energy industry. The Yorktown partnerships were formerly affiliated with the investment firm of Dillon, Read & Co. Inc., where Mr. Lawrence was employed beginning in 1966, serving as a Managing Director until the merger of Dillon Read with SBC Warburg in September 1997. Mr. Lawrence also serves as a director of Approach Resources, Inc., Carbon Natural Resources, Hallador Petroleum Company (each a United States publicly traded company), and certain non‐public companies in the energy industry in which Yorktown partnerships hold equity interests. Mr. Lawrence is a graduate of Hamilton College and received an Master of Business Administration from Columbia University.
Mr. Tiner is a Managing Director at Tanglewood Investments Inc. He has extensive operating management and acquisition experience in manufacturing companies both domestically and internationally. Prior to joining the firm in 1995, Mr. Tiner was the President, Chief Executive Officer, and Director of Moorco International Inc. During his 17‐year career with Moorco and prior to becoming the Chief Executive Officer in 1993, he served in a variety of senior operating assignments at the company and its affiliated companies in both the United States and abroad. These included Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Crosby Valve and Gage Company from 1984 to 1988 and President of Smith Meter Inc. from 1988 to 1992. Mr. Tiner is also the Chairman of Ameriforge Group Inc. He holds a Master of Business Administration from the Harvard University Graduate School of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Texas A&M University.
Mr. Burke is the former Chief Executive Officer and President of Forum Energy Technologies (formerly Forum Oilfield Technologies, Inc.) from May 2005 to October 2007. Prior to joining Forum, Mr. Burke served as Chief Executive Officer of Access Oil Tools Inc. from April 2000 to May 2005. Before joining Access Oil Tools, Mr. Burke held various positions with Weatherford International Ltd. from January 1991 to August 1999, including Executive Vice President responsible for all manufacturing operations and engineering at its Compressor Division. He served as the Senior Vice President and President, Products/Compression and equipment division of Weatherford Enterra Inc., from January 1996 to July 1998. Prior to joining Weatherford, Mr. Burke was employed by Cameron Iron Works from 1967 to 1989, where he held positions of increasing seniority, including Vice President of Cameron's Ball Valve division. Mr. Burke holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from University College, Dublin, Ireland, and an Master of Business Administration from Harvard University.
Mr. Coleman is the former President of North America Operations at Archer Limited and served as an Executive Vice President. Mr. Coleman also previously served as Chief Operating Officer of Select Energy Services, LLC. Mr. Coleman had a 33 year career at BJ Services where he established himself as a leader in the oil and gas industry. Over the course of his career, he served in various capacities, beginning as an equipment operator and served as the Vice President of Pumping for all of North America from 2007 to May 2010. After the merger of BJ Services and Baker Hughes, he chose to explore new opportunities within the industry. He serves on the board of a small coiled tubing business and is an Adviser to Cadent Energy. Mr. Coleman graduated from the University of Texas at Permian Basin, earning a Bachelor of Business Administration in management in 1993.
