Digitalization of the Supply Chain

As the U.S. oil and gas industry continues to transition towards manufacturing-style development of resource plays, operators and service companies are looking for new ways to bring technology to their supply chains.

Solaris’ inventory control technologies provide visibility from the mine to the well site, helping customers make critical decisions in order to ensure availability and timely delivery of proppant.

PropView® provides critical real-time data that helps logistics and dispatch teams operate more efficiently. Real-time information on changes to sand inventories on the well site offers insights that can directly translate into more efficient timing of deliveries, and minimizing or eliminating demurrage.

PropView® provides real-time inventory levels, both at the well site and remotely via any browser or the PropView® mobile app. Data available at a glance includes inventory levels, mesh size, and fill and unload rates in each silo.

Railtronix™ provides inventory control and business intelligence solutions for proppant-handling facilities including mines and transloads. Product is tracked in real-time while moving through the railroad, as well as once it is stored at the facility. Railtronix™ also creates the truck Bills of Lading, providing facilities and their customers with a digital record of all activity.

Railtronix™ provides flexible integrations with external systems, allowing all stakeholders to gain the necessary visibility and reduce manual reconciliation and data processing.

The team at Solaris’ wholly-owned subsidiary, Solaris Oilfield Technologies, LLC, is integrating the Railtronix™ and PropView® platforms to provide customers with data to help create and monitor key performance indicators to improve the reliability of proppant supply, save time, and reduce the delivered cost of proppant. The group is also continuing to develop new offerings across the proppant supply chain.
